The Cary Ale House is a gastro pub and for those of you unfamiliar with the term, it was derived in England as a term to describe a new wave of upscale pub food by combining the words “gastronomy” (the practice or art of choosing, cooking, and eating good food) and “public house” (a place open to the public and licensed to sell alcohol). You can read about the gastro pub phenomenon in the city of Chicago here.
Our focus in the kitchen is on high quality, hand crafted food made from scratch with as many locally sourced and sustainable ingredients as we can feasibly utilize. Our chef has prepared a wonderful menu drawing inspiration from European pub fair, Asian spices, and of course the urban Chicago pub scene. Our goal was to bring downtown flavors to the northwest suburbs. View our menu here.
Chef Tom supports local farmers and visits the Farmer’s markets 1-2 times a week for fresh produce. All of our signature sauces accompanying the items are artfully designed and homemade bringing a unique and wonderful flavor profile for our guests to enjoy.
